The aim is to adapt the buying process to the extent necessary to achieve optimal conversion. There are certain requirements for the buying process, depending on the product type. For example, a time-based product will have calendar options at its core, a traditional invetory based product will have a quantity selector, etc. And the more you combine several products into a single package, the more the process is adapted.
When purchasing accommodation, activity, rental and transport products, the customer is automatically presented with a monthly booking calendar for each product, showing availability at the selected time in real time.
The activity product type is based, at a basic level, on the starting times, duration and price set by the merchant. Based on these, the buying customer selects a date and time from the calendar and proceeds to payment.
In rental product types, the customer can choose from a combination of different start and end times and the duration is determined by the choices made by the customer. Duration is priced dynamically, either on an hourly or daily basis.
For accommodation products, the customer is booked for the whole accommodation or the required number of rooms, depending on the product settings. If the product has several rooms, you can let the customer choose the rooms themselves, use the room selector or let Johku automatically allocate the rooms based on the number of people in the order.
Johku's transport products are based on timetables and stops created for the product. The customer can purchase the entire journey from the start to the end point or a journey between them, and the timetable for the selected journey is automatically displayed. For transport products, the customer is offered the option of a one-way trip or a return trip.
Simple products are fixed-price products, purchased by the unit or by weight. Simple products do not crate reservations and are not limited in time. You can create size or other variations of the purchased product using the resource selection option.
It is possible to implement ticket pricing on activities. In this case, the customer chooses the time of the activity, the type of ticket and the number of tickets. The customer will receive a booking for the activity and a mobile ticket for the selected time.
Movies, theatre shows and other types of event productions use showtimes and associated ticket pricing. The customer is presented with all of the product's showtimes at once, as well as the default ticket quantity option or seat map. The ticket type can be changed in the shopping cart or on the order page.
Gift cards and serial tickets are sold at a fixed price, just like simple products, i.e. the customer only sees a quantity selector, and a value selector in the case of open value gift cards. Serial tickets are usually sold as a package, i.e. the customer receives either separate codes or a single code with multiple uses when buying one.
The merchant has the opportunity to customise the wording of the buying process in those parts of the process where it has a significant impact on the purchase.
For all time-based product types, it is possible to specify a preselected date or more. This removes multiple clicks from customer's purchase process and display only those dates that are required.
It is possible to give customer an option to select certain resources for their booking. That is, the customer can choose, for example, certain sizes of bikes or just certain numbered exhibition stands etc.
A seat map can be added to the events, from which the customer selects the desired seats in the hall. The seat map also shows availability in real time.
Johku is constantly evolving through the ideas of merchants. You can find new features under development in the Johku Ecosystem. You can also submit your own ideas to our Idea Register, where they will be evaluated and transferred to the development process.
